This July, join Schooner Adventure at the center of Sail Boston 2026, one of the largest gatherings of tall ships in New England history.

The celebration begins the moment Adventure leaves Gloucester Harbor.
Join us for a rare one-way voyage as we sail from Gloucester to Boston to kick off Sail Boston 2026. Experience the beauty of the Massachusetts coastline under sail, help bring a historic fishing schooner into the city, and become part of Adventure's Centennial story.
As Boston's skyline comes into view and the harbor fills with visiting tall ships from around the world, you'll enjoy a front-row seat to the excitement before the festival officially begins.

Who We Are
Gloucester Adventure, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit maritime historic preservation and educational organization.
We are the stewards of Schooner Adventure built in 1926. She is one of the last surviving Grand Banks dory-fishing schooners, a registered National Historic Landmark and official Flagship of the City of Gloucester Massachusetts.
Our mission began and continues with the restoration and preservation in perpetuity of this national treasure.
She sails as an icon of the American fisheries and as a floating classroom celebrating maritime history. The schooner is operated at sea along the New England coast, as a living monument to Massachusetts’ fishing heritage. As such Schooner Adventure is important not only to Gloucester, but also to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and all America.
